  • Remember you must email (preferably) or phone your game scores in to the appropriate Division
    Coordinator within 24 hours of the game being played
    (this is the responsibility of the winning team, or the home team in case of a tie)

  • You also must mail the white copy of the game sheet to the Division Coordinator within
    2 days of the game date (or immediately for all play-off games)

Managers Certification
The Managers Certification Program is now available online.

MED Certfication for Coaches
  • All coaches must be Making Ethical Decisions (MED) certified in the 2010-2011 season.
  • The requirement for those coaches to attend a "stand alone" MED module before completing the evaluation has been waived for the 2010-2011 season.
  • In order to become MED certified, coaches must complete the applicable Make Ethical Decisions online evaluation at www.coach.ca
  • In order to complete your evaluation, you must have your CC# and NCCP Database password.  If you do not have a CC# or password, please contact Coach Services at coach@coach.ca 

Instructions for completing the MED Certification:

  • Go to www.coach.ca
  • Under NCCP Training you will see Make Ethical Decisions.
  • Click on Make Ethical Decisions.
  • Click on Make Ethical Decisions Online Evaluation.
  • You will see two version of the Evaluation.
    Comp-Int MED
    Community Sport MED
  • Once you have selected the applicable evaluation, you will be prompted to enter your CC# and password. You will then be able to complete the evaluation.

Explanation of Coaching Courses:

Community Sport Initiation (CSI):  a 13 hour course offered through Ringette Calgary facilitated by Ringette Alberta intended for coaches of community and recreational youth teams.

Competitive Introduction 1: a 17 hour course offered through Ringette Calgary facilitated by Ringette Alberta intended for coaches of competitive youth teams.

Competition Introduction 2: a 9 hour course that supplements the CI course. It deals with planning a season, advanced tactics, strategies and skills. The course is offered through Ringette Calgary facilitated by Ringette Alberta.

Competitive Introduction Certified: an evaluation course done one on one. The candidate needs to prepare a structured practice plan that is reviewed prior to and observed by a certified evaluator on ice. The preparation and delivery will take 8-10 hours and the evaluator will spend 4-6 hours performing the evaluation process. There is a fee of $75 charged for the evaluation process.

Ethics Certification:  An online course that is found on www.coach.ca. You will need your NCCP Coaching # to complete.
